2 Dayton Men Arrested, Accused Of Passing Fake Money

RICHMOND, Indiana -- Authorities said a lot of fake money has been floating around in Richmond, Ind., and at first glance it was not noticed.Investigators said one a store worker noticed that the money was not real, it seemed a number of other stores also noticed the fake money.According to police, two Dayton men are behind bars charged with forgery and theft.Police said Phillips Parks, 19, and Kenneth Mitchell, 50, were passing fake $100 bills.Investigators said a store inside the Richmond Square Mall first noticed the fake money on Wednesday. They said then another call came in from another store not far away.Police also said Menards also had three $100 bills and $5 bills. Officers said another store called and that is when they caught up with the two Dayton men and arrested them.The two men are now in the Wayne County Jail. According to police, a third person took off.
