DAYTON, Ohio -- The jury in the aggravated vehicular homicide trial of Dexter Moore has been given the case after closing arguments were held Friday morning.Moore is accused of killing a teenager who had just stepped off a school bus on Derby Road last fall. The prosecution and the defense both provided closing arguments inside the Montgomery County Courts Building. The jury has been giving the case, and now it is up to them to determine if Moore is guilty of aggravated vehicular homicide or not. The defense is hoping that the jury finds Moore guilty of a lesser charge of vehicular homicide.Moore is on trial in the death of Julian Hill who was struck and killed as he was getting off a school bus in Jefferson Township last fall. The prosecution provided 11 reasons why Moore was wreckage in his driving on Derby Road. They said Moore knew the risks of going the speed that he was and that he knew that buses and children could be on the road. However, the defense disagrees with the prosecution and said that Moore did not know that there would be buses or children on the road.At this time, the case has been given to the jury.Stay tuned to News Center 7 and whiotv.com for more on this story.
