Dayton Standoff Ends; Suspect Not Found

DAYTON, Ohio -- Police in Dayton and SWAT team members said a seven-hour standoff ended when they found no one inside a house on Edison Street.The standoff started around 7 p.m. Thursday in the 1500 block of Edison Street and ended around 2 a.m. Friday.Dayton police said they spend many hours trying to contact 41-year-old Bryan Moore. They said Moore’s ex-girlfriend called 911, saying he tried to shoot her and kidnapped their 8-year-old son.Officers responded to the area and tried to track Moore down. They found the child, but Moore was not found.Police said they later received a tip that Moore’s car was at a house on Edison. Neighbors were evacuated as negotiators tried to make contact.After receiving information that Moore was not in the house, the SWAT team went inside with a K-9 unit and confirmed that the house was empty.If anyone has information on Moore’s whereabouts, they are asked to contact Dayton police. Moore should be considered armed and dangerous..
