TIPP CITY, Ohio -- It was a wild ride fo a Tipp City woman as her car ended up in the living room of her house after it slammed through a wall in her garage Thursday afternoon.

The crash happened at 680 Hathaway Trail in Tipp City shortly before 3 p.m.

Police said Edna Orem, 84, had stopped at the end of her driveway to pick up her mail. When she got back into her car and put it into gear, the vehicle lunged forward, into the garage, through a wall, coming to rest in the house.

"At that point neighbors said she squealed her tires into the direction of the garage door," said Sgt. David Friend, "ending up in the living room."

Orem was not injured. In order to get out of her car, Orem had to remain in her vehicle until a wrecker arrived on the scene to pull the car out of the living room .
