A fire broke out at a Clark County home Friday morning and officials say the man who lived there was acting strangely when they arrived on the scene.

They said he was sitting on his front porch smiling, then fought with a neighbor who was trying to see if the man's two children were inside.

The fire broke out at 856 Woodglen in Park Layne. Firefighters freared that the man's 10-year-old and 16-year-old children were still inside. Luckily, they had escaped on their own.

Police said the father of the children was taken into custody for resisting arrest, obstruction and assault.
