Man Dead After Car Hits Utility Pole

A crash around 8 a.m. Friday morning claimed the life of a New Carlisle man.

Moraine police said the man's vehicle crashed into a utility pole on State Route 741, just north of Springboro Pike and Stroop Road.

Officers said they aren't sure why the man drove off the road.

The victim's name has not been released. Officials do say he was a 59-year-old New Carlisle man who worked for Pella Windows.

The victim was taken to Kettering Hospital where he died.
