DAYTON, Ohio -- Police said a 15-year-old boy attacked his stepfather after he was asked to do the dishes.

The incident happened Saturday night at a house on Newgate Avenue in Dayton.

According to police, when the stepfather asked the teen to clean some plates, the boy threatened to kill him and left the room.

When he returned, he struck his stepfather with the claw end of a hammer, leaving a gash in his forearm.

The teenager is now charged with felonious assault.
