$100,000 Damages In Greenville Twp. House Fire

DARKE COUNTY, Ohio -- A fire that started at the outdoor electrical meter to a home west of Greenville in Darke County Monday afternoon resulted in damages estimated at $100,000.The scene was the intersection of State Route 571 and Woodlane Drive in Greenville Township.Flames and thick black smoke were found coming from the house as firefighters first arrived on the scene shortly before 1 p.m.There were no injuries.Greenville Township firefighters received mutual aid from the Greenville City Fire Department, Ansonia, Union City and Liberty Township.No one was at home at the time a neighbor spotted the fire and called 911.Steve.Baker@WHIOTV.com
