Miami Valley Residents Worried About Stock Market

Monday, October 6, 2008 – updated: 10:25 am EDT October 7, 2008

Many Miami Valley residents say they are afraid to look at their savings accounts and their company 401(K) accounts for fear that they have lost their money.

Frank James, of James Investment Research in Greene County, said he could see the market losing another 20 percent of its value before it rebounds.

James said people have to really watch their spending right now and not buy things they don’t absolutely need.

James believes Congress has to stay out of this financial mess and let the market work itself out.

Some investors are worried that their investment portfolio will never fully recover and they will never get to retire.
