Fire Strikes Barn Filled With Livestock

CHAMPAIGN COUNTY, Ohio -- Firefighters in Champaign County battled a large barn fire Monday night.The fire happened on State Route 560 at Mettle Creek Road at about 8 p.m.Fire crews said six fire departments responded to the scene.Multiple head of livestock were inside the barn when the blaze started and it is not known yet if the animals got out safely, fire crews said.Fire crews said they do not know what caused the fire and investigators will contiue to look for a cause.
