Dayton Officer Forced To Retire After Coverup

DAYTON, Ohio -- A Dayton police officer has been forced to retire for allegedly trying to cover up details of a traffic stop.Maj. Mike Brown was paid $56,000 for unused time off, received a retroactive 4 percent wage increase and was allowed to look for a new job on city time as part of the retirement agreement.Police said that Brown’s retirement was forced after he shredded a traffic ticket given to a city hall aide by another officer.
