CENTERVILLE, Ohio -- The lines have been steady in Centerville.

Voters are considering a school levy, a merger study for Centerville and Washington Township, and the McCain-Obama match-up.

When the polls opened, the wait at most polling places was about an hour.

Voter Sherry Monaghan told us that she had no problem getting up early. Monaghan said, "Absolutely, I have a great deal of interest in this."

Janis Downs said, "If someone is allowed to vote and doesn't vote today, shame on them."

Within minutes of the doors opening at the Seventh Day Adventist Church, four precincts of voters surged into the packed quarters following the signs for their ballots.

Pat Aicher said she's been voting since Dwight Eisenhower ran for President and she's excited to see this kind of scene at the polls. She just hopes everyone to time to learn about the issues saying, "It is important. I think you need to be an informed voter."
