Loaded Gun Found At Dayton Charter School

DAYTON, Ohio -- The search for a cell phone at a Dayton charter school turned up much more.The Life Skills Learning Center in Dayton was placed on lockdown on Friday after a school security guard discovered a gun in a student’s purse.Police said a classmate claimed that 19-year-old Kandy Brown had stolen her cell phone. When officers searched her purse, looking for the phone, they found the loaded handgun. Brown claimed that her classmate, Anthony Curlett, had put the gun in her purse.Brown and Curlett appeared in court Monday on weapons charges.
