Darke Co. Motorcyclist Injured In Deer Crash

DARKE COUNTY, Ohio -- A motorcyclist, apparently on her way to work, hit a deer in a pre-dawn crash Tuesday morning in Darke County.The crash happened at the intersection of State Route 571 and Jaysville-St. Johns Road, just south of Greenville.The motorcyclist injured her leg and may have to have it amputated.The month of November is the peak season for deer-vehicle crashes, especially just prior to sunrise and sunset, according to the Ohio Department of Natural Resources, Division of Wildlife.
