Fire Forces Family Out Of Medway Home

MEDWAY, Ohio -- A Clark County family’s attempt to heat their home on Saturday left them out in the cold.A fire broke out at their home along Oak Road in Medway.A neighbor called 911 after seeing smoke coming from the roof.The neighbor also alerted the family inside to the fire. The family escaped unharmed.Fire crews said the fire caused $40,000 in damages and started because the fireplace, chimney and chimney flue had not been inspected.Crews said damage was contained to the attic, roof and chimney.
