Voinovich Fights For DHL Worker Assistance

WILMINGTON, Ohio -- Sen. George Voinovich said he is fighting to make sure that thousands of people in Wilmington get the assistance that they were promised.DHL workers are waiting for the company to close its Wilmington hub next month.Voinovich said DHL promised more than $260 million in severance, retention and health benefits for its airpark workers.However, in a letter to the chairman of the board of UPS, Voinovich said DHL failed to provide that assistance.He is urging DHL to honor those promises and show him a plan on how it will make that happen.
