State troopers arrested four individuals late Monday night on drug-related charges.

Conflicting stories from the suspects about their trip led to their arrest on northbound Interstate 75 near Wapakoneta in Auglaize County.

A K-9 from Allen County Sheriff's Department made a positive alert on the vehicle, said troopers.

"A probable cause search was conducted," said Wapakoneta Ohio State Patrol post commander Lt. J. Scott Carrico, "and numerous items were located in the trunk associated with methamphetamine production."

Four men from Manchester, Ohio and Flemingsburg, Kentucky, were arrested.

Troopers said they also found drugs for personal use and contraband located in the passenger compartment of the car.

The charges against the men include possession of materials used for the manufacture of methamphetamine and possession of criminal tools, both felonies.
