Fire Erupts In Chimney Of Anna House

ANNA, Ohio -- Authorities in Anna said a school bus driver is being credited with keeping a chimney fire from getting out of hand.The fire happened around 8 a.m. Monday at 15866 Meranda Road near the village of Anna.According to fire officials, the fire may have started from build up of creosote in the chimney. Firefighters from Botkins, Jackson Center and Kettlersville-Van Buren Township were called in to assist if the fire spread to the attic of the house.Anna Fire Chief Tim Bender said the bus driver from Anna Local Schools called 911 to report the fire.There were no injuries.
