Nearly one month after a fire killed four children, investigators are still trying to figure out what was behind it.Several engineers sifted through the remains of the St. Paris fire on Friday afternoon.Investigators said this case is a difficult one to solve, and lot 15 in the Paris Court West Mobile Home Park is still a crime scene nearly a month after a fire killed four children.Investigators were joined by several engineers from insurance companies and manufacturers, and the hope is that more minds will determine the cause.“It takes time to do that to see if it will provide answers we need,” said Sheriff Brent Emmons from Champaign County.“You have to look at every possiblilty. Everything has to be evaluated, and you have to go with an open mind and let evidence and facts present what they present,” said Emmons. The four children, Nathan Skaggs, Patrick Snelling, Breonna Snelling and Cassandra Karg, were laid to rest on March 28.Emmons said every possible cause is under consideration and no one has been charged.
