DAYTON, Ohio -- A sixth-grader was caught at a Dayton public elementary school with her cell phone that had some racy material on it, and now she is paying the price. .Early Friday morning Latisha Clayton received a call from the Meadowdale Elementary School saying her daughter, Shatasha Dillard, had been suspended.“I am kind of furious, angry at the same time, because in the office they didn’t give me a chance to talk,” said Dillard.A representative from Dayton Public Schools said they did everything by the book and that the incident began after a lewd picture from Dillard’s phone that was sent by her mother had circulated around school. There is nothing legally wrong with the mother of four sending or receiving lewd pictures on her cell, but when they get into the hands of her 12-year-old daughter, it is a whole different story.“It was a text message that came to my cell phone, and I hit the forward button; then it went to my daughter by accident,” said Clayton.Dillard said she received that text from her mom several weeks ago and immediately deleted it, and she did not know that the picture saved to her media file on her phone.News Center 7 was told that Dillard was suspended for a number of days before a hearing date is set.
