Woman Dies In Kettering Crash

KETTERING, Ohio -- Kettering police say two vehicles collided early this morning and one driver was killed.The accident happened around 1:40 a.m. at the intersection of Shakertown Rd. and Research Blvd.Mary J. Farrow, 41, of West Alexandria, was pronounced dead at the scene.Police said Farrow was westbound on Shakertown when her vehicle was struck by a car that failed to stop at a stop sign.That 20-year-old driver was pulled from his car by a witness, just before the car burst into flames.Another witness performed CPR on Farrow, but was unable to save her.Police said the man who caused the crash admitted that he had been drinking alcohol. Charges are pending lab tests.
