DAYTON, Ohio -- New signs will be going up alongside local roads and interstate highways to show you where your federal stimulus money is being spent. The Ohio Department of Transportation says drivers will be seeing the historic roadway signs very soon. The first fifteen projects in Ohio have been authoritized for funding through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act allowing these projects to move closer to construction. The signs, which read,"Putting America To Work; Project Funded By the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act," will start showing up along Ohio's roadways, interstates and bridges as crews get to work on improvement projects funded with stimulus money.Rex Dickey, spokesperson for ODOT says, "We want people to understand how the money is actually being spent and they'll be able to see the results of that investment."Dickey says the other goal is to create jobs and keep Ohioans employed.
