Cruiser Cam Video Released Of Chase

Police have released cruiser cam video of a chase that went through several counties over the weekend.Dozens of officers from several agencies in two counties chased a moving truck full of stolen merchandise on Saturday.Officers said the man stole several thousand dollars worth of merchandise from Home Depot on Bechtle Avenue in Springfield.
RAW VIDEO: Springfield Moving Truck ChaseAccording to police, someone saw the theft, called 911 and the chase began. From Springfield, the truck headed to South Vienna, London and West Jefferson, and back to South Charleston, and then eventually back into Springfield.Outside of Plattsburg troopers with the Ohio State Highway Patrol used stop sticks on the truck, which did not stop the vehicle.Mike Jenkins recorded the chase as it went by his home.Jenkins said, "The last time I saw something like this I didn't have my camera. I'm glad I did this time."Clark County Sheriff's deputies took over the pursuit and eventually called it off.News Center 7 was told the driver was speeding near 70 mph, driving over the median and on the wrong side of the road. After he almost hit an OSP cruiser, troopers decided he was too dangerous to follow.Authorities said the Penske truck was found late Saturday night in the parking lot of Kenwood Elementary School in Springfield.Officers said the spent the night searching some Springfield homes for the man, but they have not been able to find him.
