A Richmond man who led police on a high-speed chase that drove through two counties is facing prison time.

Joseph Cottman, 26, was found guilty of resisting law enforcement and drug charges. In March of last year, a Richmond officer tried to pull Cottman over.

Officers said Cottman took off and drove into Preble County tossing bags of marijuana out the window of his car.

The chase ended in New Lebanon, Ohio, when Cottman tried to get into the home owned by a sheriff’s deputy.

Cottman faces more than 20 years in prison when he is sentenced next month.
