DARKE COUNTY, Ohio -- A speeding motorcycle crashed Saturday night in Greenville, sending the cycle rider to Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton aboard Careflight.

The crash happened on Hart Ave. The unidentified cyclist suffered serious head injuires.

Greenville police are investigating the crash.

In the meantime, Darke County Sheriff's deputies investigated a two-vehicle collision that involved a motorcycle that occurred on Elroy-Ansonia Road just east of Detling Road Friday night near Ansonia.

According to a release from the Sheriff’s Office, 20-year-old Lindsay Mikesell, of Bradford, was driving westbound and turned left into the path of an eastbound motorcycle driven by Scott Nieport of Ansonia.

Ansonia Rescue took Mikesell to Wayne Hospital in Greenville and Nieport was taken by Careflight to Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton.

Nieport was thrown from his motorcycle into a tree in the front yard of a home 3701 Elroy-Ansonia Road.

Mikesell was cited for failure to yield when turning left.
