A Greenville motorcyclist lost control of her bike during a benefit poker run through Miami County and is run over by another rider who left the scene, deputies said. The woman, identified as Diane Rhoades, 53, Greenville, was being treated at Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton.

It happened on Fenner Road, west of State Route 48, south of Pleasant Hill on Saturday afternoon.

About an hour after the crash, using a description obtained from witnesses, deputies found the other motorcycle and questioned the operator.

So far Michael Larsa, 47, Greenville, has been charged with operating a motorcycle while under the influence of alcohol. Deputies said he was cooperative and admitted to striking Rhoades. Additional charges are possible.

According to the accident report, Rhoades was coming out of a "S" curve on Fenner Road among a pack of cycles. She dropped off the pavement and laid her cycle down. Rhoades was ejected at the same time she was run over.

Rhoades is in serious condition at Miami Valley.

The bikers were among over 300 participants involved in a benefit poker run that started from Greenville Saturday afternoon and traveled into Miami County.
