Woman, Children Jump From Burning House

LOGAN COUNTY, Ohio -- Authorities said a fire broke out early Friday morning and sent a woman and her three children scrambling for safety.Fire officials said the residents had to jump out of a window to escape the flames.The fire happened just after midnight at a home in Logan County in the 200 block of Miami Street in Quincy, Ohio.According to reports, the mother of the children, Cynthia Craig, jumped out of a window to safety. When firefighters arrived, she and her three children were at a neighbor’s house.Sylvia Purtree, who also spotted the flames coming from the house, said, “I said a prayer. I hope they all got out.”Craig was flown to the OSU Medical Center and is listed in fair condition. Her children, all under the age of 10, are staying with an aunt.The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
