OVI Checkpoint Conducted In Jefferson Twp.

JEFFERSON TOWNSHIP, Ohio -- Authorities said they conducted an OVI checkpoint Friday night in an effort crackdown on impaired drivers.The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, along with Trotwood Police and the Ohio State Highway Patrol conducted the checkpoint.Officers stopped drivers along West Third Street and arrested one person who, they said, was under the influence of alcohol.Officers also said they issued five seatbelt violations. One was a child restraint violation and they handed out two tickets for other traffic violations.
