Rwanda Family Gets 'Green' Habitat Home

DAYTON, Ohio -- A family that escaped danger in the country of Rwanda is getting a new "green” house to call home.On Monday, Habitat For Humanity broke ground on a home for the Sibomana family.Habitat said the project is a first because the entire project from materials to labor is being donated by construction company Skanska Shook.The home will feature energy efficient appliances and materials. The Sibomana family are refugees from Rwanda and said they are thankful for their new home.Isaie Sibomana said, “This means to me happy. Having a peace of mind when you know where to lay your head down when you know your children will be in a good environment.”The home is expected to be completed in August.
