Man Faces Judge In Bathing Suit Case

A man who was arrested while wearing a woman’s bathing suit appeared in court on Monday.

Authorities said Kevin Miller believes his bond is too high and that his charges are too strong. However, the city believes he is still a menace.

The 41-year-old man sat in jail and faced a judge by video conferencing, where the judge decided his next step.

Miller’s bond was originally set at $10,000. The judge said, “At this moment, I am not going to change your bond.”

For weeks, Sugarcreek Township police searched for Miller on the banks of the Little Miami River and along nearby streets.

Xenia Prosecutor Ron Lewis said, “This is a safety concern, not incarceration for apparel decisions. He was arrested for aggressive behavior, menacing, and for exposing himself.”

Xenia’s prosecutor fears that, unless corrected, Miller might pose physical harm to local residents.

Judge Murray said it is up to the experts to come up with a solution for Miller’s mental health.

Murray said, “If you have a specific option, then I will release him to house arrest.”

Miller is facing several charges, including indecent exposure, disorderly conduct and menacing.

The judge said a plan needs to be in place for counseling, before his house arrest will be approved.
