TROTWOOD, Ohio -- Police are searching for one suspect in a robbery turned shooting, while another suspect is in the hospital. The shooting happened just before 5 p.m. Sunday in the parking lot of an AutoZone store in the 4000 block of Salem Avenue.Police said an 18-year-old man showed up the store allegedly looking to buy drugs from another man. However, authorities said the buyer apparently decided to rob the dealer. The dealer then opened fire on the 18-year-old man's car, shooting nearly a dozen bullets.Neighbor Alicia Tyner said, "I went in the house and heard a couple shots, then my baby daddy come outside, and he heard more shots."While the shooter fled, police said the robbery suspect, now victim to three gunshot wounds, managed to crawl out of his car and run for help to a house on Wilmore Street.Residents called 911, and the man was taken to Miami Valley Hospital with what police described as non-life threatening injuries.Detectives said they recovered a gun near where the victim collapsed, and said the man will likely face charges in the robbery, while police search for the suspected shooter.
