St. Marys Teen Killed In Rollover Crash

AUGLAIZE COUNTY, Ohio -- One teen was killed, another injured in a crash early Monday morning in Auglaize County.The scene was Tri-Township Road, just north of Southland Road, south of St. Marys.The driver, Anthony Mackenzie, 18, St. Marys was pronounced dead at the scene by the county coroner.State troopers assigned to the Wapakoneta Post said Mackenzie ran a stop sign, lost control of his car, hit a sign and flipped over several times. Mackenzie was thrown from the car to his death.A passenger, Nick Fanning, 19, of St. Marys was injured. He was taken to a hospital in Lima.According to troopers, excessive speed and the lack of the driver wearing a seatbelt appear to be contributing factors to the cause of death.
