Suspect Arrested In Riverside Shooting

Police said a man accused of shooting two senior-age women will soon be headed back to the area to face charges.

Riverside police said Bradshaw Taylor, 26, fired at a home in Riverside, but missed his intended target and hit the women instead.

According to officers, police in Perry County, Ohio, which is southeast of Columbus found Taylor in his Jeep Cherokee after officers in Riverside put out a statewide broadcast for him.

Investigators said one woman was shot in the shoulder, while the other was hit in the leg and foot.

The shooting who live in the neighborhood described the shooting.

Nancy Roberts said, “I just heard these loud booms, like fireworks and firecrackers.”

Cody Reece said, “It sounded like maybe six shots, something you don’t hear around here.”

Police arrived after receiving multiple 911 calls. Officers talked with the victims and family members who said the shooting was not a drive-by, but a drive-up shooting.

They said Taylor had a run-in with one the women’s grandsons last weekend. Police said Taylor apparently came looking for revenge as he pulled into the driveway.

Officers believe there was a physical scuffle in which one of the grandson’s friends was hit with a pipe. Officers said then Taylor pulled out a gun and opened fire in the direction of the house.

Police Chief Mark Reiss said a feud between two men should not endanger two innocent women. He is just glad that there were not any more shots fired.

Reiss said, “We were told it’s occupied by more than one person; however, only one person got out and did the shooting.”

Investigators said they believe that Taylor lives in Perry County. They are not sure if he drove 125 miles to Riverside on Tuesday night to confront the person he had a problem with or if he stayed in the area over the last few days.

Late Wednesday afternoon, police said Taylor was charged with five counts of felonious assault, one count of improperly charging firearm, and one count of carrying a concealed weapon.
