Piqua Public Square To Be Renamed

PIQUA, Ohio -- City workers in Piqua spent the day sprucing up the Public Square in the downtown area.They are getting ready for a dedication ceremony on Thursday evening that will officially name the downtown Piqua Plaza “McCulloch Square.”It is being named in the honor at late Congressman William McCulloch of Piqua. He was instrumental in the political battle which led to the historic 1964 Civil Rights law.The outdoor event begins at 7 p.m. on Thursday with the Piqua Civic Band. The public is invited to attend.
