Springfield Girl Assaulted With Shoe

SPRINGFIELD, Ohio -- Police said a local man was charged with dometic violence after allegedly throwing a shoe at a young girl.The incident happened at the home of Michael Palmer in the 900 block of South Limestone Street in Springfield.Police said the 10-year-old girl asked Palmer to take her home. He then reportedly became angry and threw a shoe at the girl, hitting her in the head.When officers arrived at the scene, Palmer escaped through a window.Police said they tracked him down and booked him into the Clark County Jail.
