DAYTON, Ohio -- Police in Trotwood have released cruiser cam video of a chase on Tuesday that started with a theft and ended with three teens in custody.Officers said the chase lasted for 30 minutes and went from Trotwood into the city of Dayton.Once the chase ended, one teen is being held in the Montgomery County Jail, while the other two are being held in Juvenile Detention. The chase ended on Gettysburg Avenue when a cruise bumped the fleeing car and sent it off the road. The video shows two of the teens taking off and running. However, one teen was pulled from the car and immediately taken into custody. The other two were caught a short time later. The driver of the car was identified as 18-year-old JaMarcus Brown.Police said the chase started on Wolf Creek Pike in Trotwood where two juveniles allegedly robbed a 79-year-old woman at gunpoint. The victim said, “I got out and I was looking at a gun. He said give me your purse. He was pointing it right at my stomach.”The victim said she was not all that surprised that she was robbed. She said, “As much as I watch TV and listen to all the shootings, the killings, burglars. I am not surprised at anything anymore. It could happen anywhere.”Police said the teens got the woman’s purse and went to the car, where Brown was allegedly waiting behind the wheel.Officers spotted the white Cadillac a short time later and a chase ensued. The chase moved into the city of Dayton, and Trotwood officers let Dayton officers take the lead.Steve Derringer with Trotwood Police said, “Speeds did not exceed much more than 50 mph if that. But nonetheless there were people out and about.”Police said all three teens could be charged with aggravated robbery. However, Brown could also get charges of fleeing and eluding and felonious assault for allegedly ramming a cruiser.Since the teens were arrested on Tuesday, authorities told News Center 7 that they have been getting calls from other jurisdictions interested in learning more about the three teens.Police said that are interested in seeing if the three may be connected to other robberies.
