SPRINGFIELD, Ohio -- Navistar International in Springfield is recalling about 12 employees to its production facility on Urbana Road.

Jason Barlow, president of 402 Local said the employees are expected to return from layoff as a result of attrition.

Five Local 402 members were recalled last week. At this time, there are about 457 members of Local 402 working at the plant.

The production facility customizes and customizes minor alterations to Navistar trucks from other production facilities.

The plant will close for its annual summer shutdown beginning July 3 and last until July 20. Officials said the assembly line will remain shut down for an additional week until July 27 due to low order numbers.
