5 Ejected In Xenia Township Crash

XENIA TWP., Ohio -- An SUV was carrying seven people when it rolled into a field, leaving many injured.Troopers said two adults and five children were in the SUV.Troopers said the SUV was driving eastbound on Old US 35 when it overcorrected to the right, swerved, then swerved again and rolled 400 feet into a field.Old US 35 between Federal and Stringtown Roads was blocked off for two hours.Troopers said a 13- and a 3-year-old were taken by Careflight and the others were taken by ambulances.Many mutual aids responded to the crash and troopers said that they don’t believe foul play or drugs and alcohol played a role.Family members driving behind the SUV said that they were passing through town.No one was wearing a seatbelt.
