KETTERING, Ohio -- A mother going door-to-door asking for money was accused of stealing a package off someone's porch.

Kettering police said they got a call, saying a woman holding a baby was knocking on doors and asking for cash because she had lost her job.

Officers tracked the woman down on Brainard Drive.

Officers said they noticed a UPS package inside her stroller. Police confirmed that the package was stolen after it had been delivered to a home nearby.

The woman was cited for receiving stolen property.
