4 Injured In Greene Co. Collision

CEDARVILLE, Ohio -- Authorities in Greene County responded to a serious crash involving a car and an SUV.The crash happened in the 3600 block of Wilberforce-Clifton near Jones Road near the village of Cedarville.According to deputies, a car and an SUV collided, causing one of the vehicles to burst into flames. Emergency personnel said that the occupants of the vehicle that caught fire managed to escape. However, an adult and a child were trapped in their car.Jennifer Laird,30, was driving the car and she was taken by Careflight and is in critical condition at Miami Valley Hospital.Melissa Vanzant, 28, was driving the SUV.Two Careflight helicopters were called. One of them took a 9-year-old girl to a local hospital, while the other took Laird from the scene.News Center 7 was told that two other people were removed by ambulance.
