SIDNEY, Ohio -- A Green Township Trustee in Shelby County has been charged with four counts of rape.

Keith Gump, 42, of near Sidney, pleaded not guilty to all four counts Friday afternoon in a Shelby County Common Pleas Courtroom.

Gump is under a grand jury indictment.

Authorities said the alleged victims of the rape were two children under the age of thirteen.

He continues to be free on a $100,000 bond. No trial date has been scheduled.

Craig Clayton, resident, said, “To me it was shocking. It is a nice quiet neighborhood and you don’t think of stuff like that happening in your own backyard.”

At this time, Gump is still a township trustee.
