DAYTON, Ohio -- A local hospital worker is on unpaid administrative leave after he is accused of killing a Dayton man.The food service worker at Kettering Medical Center’s Sycamore Campus is now being held in the Montgomery County Jail after police said he shot and killed his girlfriend’s brother.Officials at Kettering Medical Center said the man had been working in the food service division since October 2008.Dajuan Bell, 28, is suspected of pulling the trigger and the victim is 22-year-old Katron Gipson.A person who lives in the apartment complex said, “I thought it was firecrackers, but when I came outside, I heard a girl yelling and I looked where I seen a man lying down. Probably a few minutes later, he just quit moving like he was dead.”The shooting happened on Saturday in the area of Wexford Place and McCabe. Officers said they believe a confrontation between the two men sparked during a domestic dispute on Friday night. Police said Bell was dating Gipson’s sister.Neighbors in the area quickly called 911. One caller said, “I hear yelling. The boy, whoever’s been shot, is sitting right next door. They are yelling out here.”Police said Bell later turned himself in to police. This is the city’s 25th homicide this year. However, it is only the second case this year that seems to be domestic in nature.Bell is being held in the Montgomery County Jail without bond.
