Drug Dogs Sweep Milton-Union High School

MIAMI COUNTY, Ohio -- Deputies and dogs gathered in the halls of three Miami County high schools Wednesday morning.The Miami County Sheriff's Office took dogs into Milton-Union High School in West Milton, Tippecanoe High School in Tipp City and Covington High School for a drug sweep.The dogs sniffed lockers and cars in the school parking lots.According to deputies, a small amount of marijuana, pills and alcohol were discovered at Milton-Union. Charges are pending.The superintendent at Milton-Union said she has these random drug sweeps to keep students and staff safe and drug-free.Seven K-9 units from police departments from Sharonville, Woodlawn, Fairfield, Tipp City, Preble County Sheriff's Department, Trotwood and Miami County Sheriff's Department conducted the sweeps.
