Versailles Man Injured In Car, Semi Collision

VERSAILLES, Ohio -- An elderly Versailles man pulled in front of a semi late Friday morning, leaving him injured.The collision happened at the intersection of U.S Route 127 and State Route 185 just west of Versailles in Darke County.The man was taken to Wayne Hospital in Greenville for treatment of minor injuries.The name of the 86-year-old man has not been released, according to Darke County deputies.The semi was pulling a bulk feed trailer was traveling north when the collision happened. The semi continued for several hundred feet after the impact and came to a rest in a cornfield.The driver of the semi said he thought his truck was going to overturn, but it didn’t. The semi driver was not injured.According to Dep. S. Mills, the driver of the car stopped first and then pulled into the path of the semi.
