Planned Outage Sunday In Two Communities

DAYTON, Ohio -- The Dayton Power and Light Company has planned a short-duration outage for the areas of Cedarville and South Charleston on Sunday, November 1.Starting at approximately 10:15 am, weather permitting, officials expect the outage will last less than 30 minutes.Calls have been made to approximately 3,300 who will be affected by the outage.DP and L coordinated with many organizations on the timing of the outage, including the mayor of Cedarville, the village manager of South Charleston, Cedarville University, Central State University, Wilberforce University and the churches in the area.During the outage, DP and L crews will be performing proactive maintenance by changing a transmission switch to improve electric service reliability in the area.
