1 Injured When Car Hits Tree

MIAMI COUNTY, Ohio -- Miami County deputies said the driver of a car that slammed head-on into a tree early Sunday morning admitted to drinking, but not speeding.The crash happened in the 8600 block of Markley Road off State Route 571 near West Milton in Miami County at around 3:30 a.m.The lone driver, Joel Maupin, 22, of Grubbs-Rex Road near Arcanum, was taken to Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton aboard Careflight with leg injuries.Miami County deputies are handling the investigation.
