Police Await Autospy In Suspicious Death

GREENVILLE, Ohio -- Police in Greenville are investigating what appears to be a suspicious death Tuesday evening.A body was found in a van, which was parked on Elm Street between Third and Fourth Streets around 7:03 p.m.Family identifed the dead man as Patrick Cheadle, 55, of Ansonia. He has not been heard from since last Saturday. However, Greenville Police Chief Dennis Butts said his department has not made an official identification.The scene is in the area of Memorial Hall, Greenville Junior High School and St. Mary's Catholic Church and School.The street was closed on both ends by plastic barricades, traffic cones and police cruisers. Police also strung yellow crime scene tape printed with the words "DO NOT CROSS BY POLICE ORDER" around the van. The street has since been reopened to traffic.The case remains under investigation.
