Deputies said two men accused of raping and kidnapping a woman have been released from jail.

The alleged incident happened Thursday morning in Harrison Township, but authorities said, so far, no charges have been filed.

The men were taken to the Montgomery County Jail after a woman identified them as the ones who allegedly raped and kidnapped her. The men have been released, pending further investigation.

Deputies said the alleged kidnapping and rape happened on North Dixie Drive. The victim told deputies that she was outside Harem Entertainment when two men dragged her into a pickup truck and raped her.

The allegations came as not surprise to local residents.

Debbie Maggard said, “The community has deteriorated to some point.” She has been in Harrison Township most of her life and admits that her sense of security has started to decline.

The victim told authorities that after the sexual assault, she got away and flagged down a deputy. She then helped identify her alleged attackers.

Investigators said the men were arrested, but were released, pending further investigation.

At this time, no charges have been filed, but deputies said they could in the future.
