XENIA, Ohio -- A warning is being issued to parents in Xenia after police said a stranger outside Cox Elementary School tried to convince a young girl to go with him.

Police said the man told the girl that her mother asked him to pick her up from school. The girl managed to get away and told officials at school.

The man is described as being white with brown or black hair. Police said the man has a mustache and was wearing tinted glasses.

Officers said the man is 6 feet tall, in his 40s, and was wearing jeans and a black leather coat.
