There is good news for the city of Vandalia.

There is a buyer for the former Iams building and the new buyer is bringing one hundred new jobs to the area.

The United Food and Commercial Workers International Union and a private investor will buy the former Iams headquarters for nearly $2 million.

We are told they plan to bring one hundred new jobs to the city by the end of next year.

The union and the private investor were the top bidders for the property in an online auction held in October.

The bid of $1.95 million was the top bid from a total of 73 registered bidders in the commercial property auction.

The Iams Company moved its headquarters to Mason earlier this year.
